Lands of America recently had appromixately $1 billion in land and rural real estate for sale in the Jayhawk State. This constitutes about 289,000 acres of land for sale in the state. Of the 105 counties in the state,
Miami County had the most land and acreage for sale. There were 5,593 acres of sold land in Kansas recorded in January 2019 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a nine percent increase in sales activity over the month before, with a combined land value of $18 million for all property and land sold in the state. Linn County had the most land sales recently in the state. Kansas lists 26 state parks covering some 32,200 acres of land and including more than 500 miles of trails, over 10,000 campsites, and more than 130,000 surface-acres of water. Popular game species to hunt in Kansas include wild turkey, bobwhite quail, elk, and duck, while anglers can cast for bluegill, catfish, largemouth bass, walleye, and more on rivers and lakes throughout the state. In terms of size, Kansas is the country's 15th-largest state, covering an area of 82,282 square miles (53 million acres). Of this area, 81,759 square miles is land, while the remaining 520 square miles comprises water. Game species to be found on land for sale in Kansas include turkey, whitetail deer, quail, dove, pheasant, ducks, and geese. Anglers have their pick of catfish and bass.
